On April 25th, according to foreign media reports, Micron, a major storage chip manufacturer in the United States, will receive approval from the Indian government to invest $1 billion in building packaging testing and module production lines in India. According to the report, an Indian official stated that the Indian government has indeed approved Meguiar's investment plan. But Meiguang has not yet released this news to the public.
Previously, the Indian government planned to provide a total of $10 billion in subsidies to attract foreign semiconductor manufacturers to invest in India, such as establishing wafer factories, packaging and testing factories, module factories, and IC design bases, in order to enhance the strength of the Indian semiconductor industry. If the investment content meets the subsidy scope of the Indian government, India will provide a subsidy of 50% of the investment amount.
