Germany's import price index rose sharply in August

On October 7 local time, the Federal Statistical Office of Germany released data showing that, affected by energy shortage, Germany's import price index rose 4.3% month on month and 32.7% year on year in August 2022, the largest year-on-year increase in Germany's import price index since March 1974.
